Morning sightseeing of Old Delhi visiting Jama Masjid and drive past Red fort. Take the rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni chowk. Later visit Rajghat – cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi
Afternoon sightseeing of New Delhi visiting Qutab Minar and Humayun’s tomb. Later drive past President house, parliament building, Rajpath and India Gate.
End your tour with a visit to the Laxminarayan Temple, a modern Hindu temple

Morning transfer from hotel to the airport to board your flight for Amritsar; meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel.
AMRITSAR literally meaning “Pool of Nectar” was founded in 1579 by Guru Ram Das, the fourth Guru of the Sikh religion who settled down besides a pool bequeathed with miraculous healing powers. His son, Guru Arjun Dev, built the temple within the pool. Later Maharaja Ranjit Singh encrusted it with pure gold leaf.
Later sightseeing of Amritsar visiting the Golden Temple - the glory of Amritsar. Its bronze plates, heavily covered with pure gold leaf, burn and flash in the sun and reflect in the still waters of the pool surrounding the temple. Visit the infamous Jallianwala Bagh - now a national monument. In 1919, during the British Raj, Gen. Dyer opened fire on innocent pilgrims causing a massacre. Also visit the beautiful Rambagh Gardens.
Late afternoon excursion to Attari-Wagah border of India and Pakistan, view the lowering of flag ceremony.

Morning proceed by road to Dharamshala, on reaching check-in at the hotel.
Dharamshala – Also known as little Lhasa, is home to the unique Tibetan culture. It is the hill town north of Kangra where the Dhauladhar range outlines the valley. The upper reaches of Dharamsala is called Mcleod Ganj named after Sir Alan Mcleod, the Governor of Punjab. In 1849 the British posted a regiment here and within a short time, it became a small flourishing hill station. Exalted Tenzin Gyatso His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, fearing persecution by the invading Chinese army left Lhasa in Tibet overnight, in disguise and sought political asylum in India. 80,000 Tibetan immigrants followed their spritual leader and mentor and made India their home. Pt. Nehru, the then Prime Minister settled them in Mcleod Ganj. The place was liked by Dalai Lama and he made it his residence. The place is now more popular as “Tibetan Kingdom in Exile or “Little Lhasa in India”. It has a traditional aura, soft-spoken, smiling Tibetans and a bracing climate. Against the backdrop of the splendid, snow-capped Dhauladhar heights are pine, deodar, oak and rhododendron.
Afternoon sightseeing of Dharamshala visiting the Tibetan monastery, Bhagsu Nag temple, waterfall and St. John Church in the wilderness.

Morning proceed by road to Shimla en-route visiting the heritage village of Pragpur- Set like a jewel in the Kangra valley, in the shadow of the Dhauladhar mountain range in Himachal Pradesh is a charming heritage village of Pragpur. It was founded by the Kuthiala Soods in the memory of Princess Prag Dei of the Jaswan royal family. With its winding cobbled lane, mud-plastered walls and slate-roofed houses, this village offers what most destinations can only dream of promising — a return, if briefly, to the simple life of an erstwhile era.
After visit continue drive to Shimla, on reaching check-in at the hotel.
Shimla - The summer seat of the British Empire. It was discovered by Lt. Rose of the British Army in 1819. Patron goddess of the little village was Shamla Devi and she gave her name to the settlement that sprang here. At an altitude of 2130 metres, Shimla straddles a rhododendron and conifer clad ridge, with settlements sloping down on both sides. A little steam engine chugs its way up forbidding inclines, trailing a leisurely handful of coaches. Shimla still retains its past historic splendours and is everything that it was in the good old days: wooden bungalows with gardens in which gladioli and hydrangea bloom; leisurely moments of horse riding, golf and cricket and fireside chats.

Full day sightseeing of Shimla - Visit the Mall, Shimla’s principal promenade which runs along a ridge. Much that is reminiscent of the Raj is found here - stately mansions, and curiosity shops, Observatory Hill, Kennedy House, built in 1822 by Major Kennedy of the British Army, Scandal Point, scene of a legendary elopement, Christ Church, Jakku Hill with a fine view of Shimla. Visit Kufri, a picnic spot that offers excellent skiing on its mountain slopes in winter.

After a leisurely breakfast transfer to Shimla rly station to begin your Toy Train ride from Shimla to Kandaghat. Himalayan Queen departs from Shimla at 1040 hrs and reaches Kandaghat at 1240 hrs.
Deboard the train at Kandaghat station and proceed by road to Chandigarh, on reaching check-in at hotel.
Chandigarh is renowned French architect `Le Corbusier’s’ creation. It is a grand modern and well planned vision for independent India, the city was largely built in the 50s and 60s.
Late afternoon take orientation tour of city - drive past Punjab University Campus Buildings, Secretariat and assembly cChamber. Then drive past the Governor’s Residence and Sukhna Lake, Rose Garden and Sector 17, the main Commercial Centre of the city.
